I made this piece for fun based on one of my peers whom I thought was visually interesting. I wanted to capture her natural beauty, emphasize her flushed cheeks and asian feature- to create her unique look. I had been playing with gold leaf for quite some time in small accents here and there, so I wanted to use this piece to explore and focus on a larger area to create a sun setting behind the woman.
